From the back cover: My father, boss of a little clan and member of a much larger one with the characteristics and ideologies  typical of a late-peasant and pre-industrial society, had concentrated his entire energy, since the time of my birth, in attempting to impose upon me his choices and ways of behaviour. He only managed to break off every effective channel of communication and compromise, definitively, every possibility of the linear expansion of my subjectivity.
